BackgroundSecondary hyperparathyroidism is a condition that can occur as a result of low vitamin D level. Parathyroid hormone (PTH) has the role of stimulating bone resorption by two mechanisms: direct activation of osteoblasts and indirect stimulation of osteoclast.
